Action
If you discover a fire in your flat or elsewhere within the building, call the Fire Brigade and inform others if safe to do so.
If your flat is on fire or smoke is entering, leave and make sure you close the door when leaving.
If you are at home or in the communal area when the fire alarm sounds, you should leave the building immediately to a place of safety.
Do not return to your flat.
To leave the building use the nearest exit following the fire exit signs, closing all windows and doors behind you.
If there is a lot of smoke, crawl along the floor where the air will be clearer.

- DO NOT return to the building until it is safe to do so.
